LPG customers in panic mode in Chennai as West Asia war hits supply

Despite the Union government taking steps to ensure cooking gas supply to domestic customers, gas agencies have been flooded with calls from customers worried about the status of their bookings.

“Both domestic and commercial customers are calling. I usually get around 700 bookings daily. Last night, I had two days of bookings. But on Tuesday, I got 2,000 bookings and these are customers who are eligible to get cylinders. I don’t know when I will finish supplying them,” said a distributor in the city.
