Lowest temperatures begin to rise in Telangana; Minimum of 12.6°C recorded

After several days of recording less than 10°C, the lowest temperatures in Telangana begin to rise. In the ongoing winter till 2025 end, the lowest of 4.5°C was recorded in December. Between Thursday and Friday (January 3, 2026) morning, the lowest temperature in the State was 12.6°C, in Sirpur of Kumaram Bheem Asifabad.

This was followed by 13.2°C in Sonala of Adilabad and 13.6°C in Mutharam Mahadevpur of Jayashankar Bhupalalaplly. Kohir in Sangareddy was one of the regions which recorded one of the lowest temperatures this season. On Thursday, the lowest there was 14.2°C, according to data from Telangana Development Planning Scoiety (TGDPS)

The temperatures in urban districts too are increasing; the minimum temperature in Medchal Malkajgiri was 15.2°C in Uppal, 15.9°C in Moinabad of Rangareddy and 17.7°C in Asifnagar of Hyderabad.
