Devotees celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami in many temples, especially at the Sri Krishna Mandirams, on Friday.
The ISKCON decorated the temple at Varadhi and the shrine at Undavalli on the banks of Krishna River.
The devotees took part in sankeertanas praising Lord Krishna. Children in the attire of Lord Krishna and Gopikas participated in the competitions organised at many temples.
Utti breaking competitions were organised in many colonies, apartments and temples, with the participation of thousands of devotees. Special pujas were also performed. Cultural programmes were organised for children.
