According to officials, the district police have taken strict action against those violating traffic rules between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026. In the past six months, 4,302 cases of over-speeding, 3,272 cases of riding without a helmet, 1,303 cases of driving while using a mobile phone, 4,464 cases of drunken driving and 8,274 cases of drinking in public places, 306 cases of triple riding, and 56 cases of driving by minors were registered.
