The family members of Prasanna Atluri, who was reportedly killed in an accident in New York on July 5, have sought help in raising funds for bringing back her mortal remains to her home in Mulapadu village of Ibrahimpatnam mandal in NTR district.

According to information available on the fund-raising website, her cousin, Ravi Kumar Atluri, stated that Prasanna died from the injuries she sustained in a road accident. The accident occurred when a speeding vehicle reportedly hit Prasanna’s car while she and her friends were waiting at a traffic signal. Her friend was also killed in the accident, according to various news reports.

Her cousin also wrote that Prasanna had recently graduated from Pace University, New York, and was attending job interviews.

“Prasanna was the pillar of her family and the person everyone relied on for guidance, emotional support, and financial stability. Even while managing her own student loans, she never hesitated to help others,” he wrote.

According to the website, 1,500 donations have been made so far.

When contacted, Ibrahimpatnam Circle Inspector Subramanyam confirmed the death of Prasanna in the U.S.A.
