Skandan K.S. and Sathvik Sarat from Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakkara, Ernakulam, have secured World Champion’s title in the 18th edition of the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge (WWGC) 2025 hosted by WWF-India.

WWGC is the world’s largest wildlife quiz platform, WWF-India Kerala State office said in a statement.

WWGC 2025 witnessed participation from over 5 lakh students representing 4,000 schools from Africa, America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.

“This year’s theme, ‘Incredible Insects,’ immersed participants in the extraordinary world of insect diversity – from beetles and butterflies to mantises, hoppers, dragonflies, and termites – highlighting the ecological importance and astonishing adaptations of these tiny but powerful creatures,” the statement said. The finale was hosted by quiz master Ajay Poonia.
