A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court watched the Malayalam feature film Haal on Wednesday, prior to deciding on an appeal filed by the Catholic Congress against a single judge’s order to grant ‘A’ certification to the film without deleting some scenes pertaining to the Christian community.

It had recently warned of imposing costs if there is no objectionable content as alleged by the organisation in the film. A single judge had watched the movie here a month ago. The matter was posted for hearing on December 4.

In the meantime, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has appealed before a Division Bench of the Kerala High Court challenging a single Bench order that upheld the deletion of just two of the over half-a-dozen scenes that the board had sought.
