The Congress constituency committee office at Mayyil in Kannur, Kerala, was allegedly vandalised in the early hours of Friday, with the party alleging involvement of CPI(M) workers amid heightened political tensions following a poll-day stabbing incident.

The office in Mayyil town was found damaged with its front window panes smashed and the door broken open. Furniture, including chairs and cupboards, as well as photographs of party leaders, were destroyed by the assailants who allegedly forced entry and ransacked the premises.
