The Kerala Academy of Skills Excellence (KASE) has exchanged a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Germany’s national railway company, Deutsche Bahn.
The partnership aims to establish world-class training standards and structured migration pathways for skilled technical professionals from Kerala seeking employment in Germany’s railway and allied technical sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Forest and Skill Development Minister Shibu Baby John emphasised the government’s commitment to building a premier skilling ecosystem that is aligned with global industry demands. The government’s goal is to transform Kerala into the skill capital of India, a hub that serves not only the youth of Kerala, but aspiring talent from across the country.
As part of the collaboration, specialised training centres and other infrastructure required to run internationally compliant pilot programmes will be established. Certified trainers will also be deployed to deliver German instruction to boost language proficiency.
