Karnataka High Court judge G. Basavaraj sustained minor injuries after his convoy met with an accident near Rayarapalya on the Bengaluru–Tumakuru National Highway on March 8 morning.

According to the police, the incident occurred at around 7.30 a.m. when a truck travelling ahead of the judge’s convoy suddenly took a left turn. In an attempt to avoid the truck, the police escort vehicle swerved to the right and rammed the road median.

Following this, the car in which Mr. Basavaraj was travelling in collided with the escort vehicle.

The judge suffered minor injuries to his nose, while two police escort personnel also sustained injuries in the accident. All the injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police said the injuries are minor and all of them are out of danger.
