Karnataka CM promises support for Foxconn’s expansion plans

Foxconn India CEO Robert Wu with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Large Industries Minister M.B. Patil, IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Bengaluru on Sunday.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has promised Foxconn India necessary State government support for its expansion plans.

The Chief Minister made this assurance when Foxconn India CEO Robert Wu met him in Bengaluru on Sunday to discuss its ongoing operations and expansion plans.

According to an official release by the Chief Minister’s Office, Mr. Siddaramaiah expressed happiness over Foxconn beginning the production work of making iPhones at Devanahalli.

Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil noted that Foxconn had invested ₹22,000 crore in its Devanahalli unit.

IT & BT Minister Priyank Kharge, Skill Development Minister Sharan Prakash Patil and Bengaluru Rural district in-charge Minister K.H. Muniyappa were also present.
