Karishma Tanna, who had been posting photos from her pregnancy diaries with husband Varun Bangera, has welcomed her first child – a baby boy. The ‘good news’ came on an auspicious occasion on Guru Purnima. The couple’s industry colleagues congratulated the couple.

Karishma Tanna announced her pregnancy in April. Throughout her last trimester, the actor kept posting photos from her pregnancy shoot with husband Varun. She would often get clicked by paps, serving major pregnancy fashion goals.
On July 30, she welcomed a baby boy. Sharing a photo of tiny baby feet, not necessarily her own child, the Sanju actress penned, “Born on the sacred day of Guru Purnima… Our greatest blessing is here. 29th July 2026 Welcome to our world, little one. Karishma & Varun (sic)”, the couple wrote, while sharing the news with fans.

Several celebrities congratulated Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera after they announced the birth of their baby boy. Sonu Sood, Rakul Preet Singh, Jasmin Bhasin, Wamiqa Gabbi, Khushi Kapoor, Anjali Dineshanand, Dhanashree Verma, Anita Hassanandani, Bharti Singh, Maheep Kapoor, Richa Chadha, Asim Riaz, Neha Dhupia, Nimrat Kaur, Ektaa Kapoor and Raj Kundra were among those who left heartfelt messages for the couple. While most wished them “Congratulations,” others shared love-filled comments, with Ektaa Kapoor writing, “Mummyyyyyyyy join d ganggggg,” and Richa Chadha celebrating with a cheerful “yay yay yay.”
How Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera fell in love
Karishma Tanna and Varun Bangera’s love story began at a New Year’s Eve party, where they were introduced by fashion designer Manish Malhotra. The actor had attended the celebration with Malhotra and met Varun for the first time there. What started as a casual conversation soon turned into a close friendship, eventually blossoming into a relationship.
Speaking about their bond in an earlier interview with TOI, Karishma had said, “Not many know that it was designer Manish Malhotra, who introduced us. I had gone with Manish for the New Year party and met Varun there. We started talking and soon became friends.”
She also opened up about how their relationship continued to grow with time. “We are getting to know more about each other, and with each passing day, love grows because you understand each other more. If there is one thing that Varun wants me to work on, it is my patience, while I want him to get up early and go to the gym with me. He is fit, but I’d love it if he came to the gym with me.”
After dating for some time, the couple got married in February 2022 in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family.
