The first Syndicate meeting of Kannur University, constituted after the new government assumed office, has decided to examine issues related to the K-Reap software used to record university examination marks following complaints from teachers and students.
The Syndicate entrusted its examination sub-committee with studying the problems associated with the software and submitting a report.
The meeting also assigned the Works and Planning Standing Committee to investigate the unauthorised removal of artefacts from the Folklore Centre at Thavakkara, which was inaugurated by the Chancellor recently, and the reported renovation of former Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gopinath Ravindran’s rented residence using university funds.
The Syndicate approved the appointment of Abdul Jaleel as Principal of Arabic College, Paral.
It also decided to notify the post of Controller of Examinations.
The meeting noted that the results of various university examinations had been published and nine research degrees had been awarded.
