Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam will host the 45th death anniversary of renowned philanthropist Chunduru Venkata Reddy, founder of C.V. Reddy Charities, here on Saturday (January 31). The programme aims to honour the life and enduring contributions of Chunduru Venkata Reddy, who was widely admired for his charitable work and dedication to the underprivileged.

Kanaka Durga temple Executive Officer (EO) V.K. Seena Nayak on Thursday said that the commemorative event will begin at 10 a.m. near Rajakumari Theatre at One Town here. Around 800 devotees and economically disadvantaged individuals will receive annadanam (food distribution), while 200 underprivileged women will be provided with sarees as part of the vastradanam initiative. In addition, scholarships and financial assistance will be distributed to 110 underprivileged students, including those from Veda Pathashalas, supporting their educational pursuits, he added.
