In a major preventive policing exercise aimed at keeping a close watch on the activities of history-sheeters and habitual offenders, the Kalaburagi City Police conducted surprise early-morning house inspections across all police station limits under the Commissionerate in the city on Saturday (May 16).

The operation was carried out under the direction of City Police Commissioner S.D. Sharanappa, and it was supervised by Deputy Commissioners of Police Shalu and Praveen H. Nayak.

As part of the coordinated crackdown, police inspectors and Crime Branch personnel simultaneously conducted checks at the residences of rowdysheeters across various police station jurisdictions in the city.

The inspections covered 25 rowdysheeters under Station Bazar Police Station limits, 32 under Ashok Nagar, 22 under Brahmapur, 24 under Raghavendra Nagar, 46 under Chowk, 43 under M.B. Nagar, 34 under University Police Station, 36 under Farhatabad station, and 27 under Sub-Urban Police Station limits, taking the total number of rowdysheeters verified during the operation to 327.

Following the inspections, the identified rowdysheeters were brought in for a rowdy parade and verification exercise. Addressing them during the parade, D.r Sharanappa issued a stern warning against engaging in any unlawful or antisocial activities and cautioned that strict legal action would be taken against those found disturbing public peace and order.

The officer said the operation was part of the department’s continued efforts to strengthen surveillance on known offenders, prevent criminal activities, and maintain law and order across the city.
