Actor Ansiba Hassan, former joint secretary of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes), will appear before the Kadavanthra police on Tuesday as part of the preliminary investigation into a complaint she filed against fellow actor Tini Tom. The Drishyam actor had recently lodged the complaint with the Infopark police over alleged communal remarks and derogatory comments made against her.

The complaint was later forwarded to the Kadavanthra police station.

Ms. Hassan’s statement was earlier recorded by the Thrikkakara Assistant Commissioner of Police in connection with another complaint filed by her against AMMA vice-president Lakshmi Priya, accusing her of filing a fabricated case with the Thripunithura Women’s Police Station. The complaint also named the station’s sub-inspector as an accused, alleging that the officer harassed her for three hours over the purportedly fabricated case.
