The district administration flagged off the Jyoti Rathayatra from Karnataka Sangha in Raichur on February 1 to mark the Raichur District Utsav 2026, which will be organized from February 5 to 7 on the campus of University of Agricultural Science (UAS) Raichur.

The ratha (chariot) was decked with various variety of flowers. ASHA and anganawadi workers performed a puja before the chariot was flagged off by Raichur’s Deputy Commissioner Nitish K.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT

The chariot was taken in a grand procession on the main streets of Raichur city before leaving for Manvi town. It will go to Sindhanur, Maski, Lingsagur, Kavithal, Deodurga, Gabbur, Arkera, and Siwar untill February 5.

President of the Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee Pavan Kishore Patil, CEO Eshwar Kumar Kandoo, Commissioner of Mahanagar Palike Jibin Mohapatra, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shivanand, and Ravi Boseraju were among those who attended the event.
