Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy assured that the long-pending issue of house sites for journalists would be resolved soon. He made the remarks while felicitating women journalists on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The Chief Minister expressed sympathy over the delay due to legal hassles and indicated that the government was committed to finding a solution. Welcoming the announcement, the Jawaharlal Nehru Journalist Housing Society thanked the Chief Minister for assuring that the issue would be addressed in a positive manner. The society said the Chief Minister had promised to ensure that the matter was resolved in a way that would prevent any future legal or procedural complications.

In a statement, Society president R. Ravikanth Reddy, vice-president Nemani Bhaskar, and Director Srikanth expressed gratitude on behalf of nearly 1,000 members and their families for the assurance given by the Chief Minister. However, they urged the government to expedite the allotment process, noting that 75 members of the society had already passed away while waiting for house sites for which they paid money two decades ago.
