A district-level job fair will be held at Karnataka College (KCD) in Dharwad on February 24. It will begin at 9 a.m.

Addressing a press conference in Dharwad on February 21, Dharwad Zilla Panchayat CEO Bhuvanesh Patil said that the fair is being organised in collaboration with the district administration, district panchayat, District Skill Mission, Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihoods, and the Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Society.

Mr. Patil said that 151 industries and companies have registered to participate, while 13,250 job aspirants have enrolled. Additionally, 2,502 beneficiaries of the Yuva Nidhi scheme have registered for the event.

Candidates aged between 18 and 45, with qualifications ranging from SSLC, PUC, ITI, diploma, degree, postgraduate, BE, and other technical qualifications are eligible to participate.

The zilla panchayat CEO said that to ensure smooth conduct of the fair, four blocks and 21 rooms had been arranged, along with six help desks and around 20 on-spot registration counters. Necessary infrastructure will be provided to all participating companies, he added.

During the previous job fair held in 2025, 130 companies had registered and 118 participated, with 9,807 candidates registering and 7,600 attending. A total of 532 candidates secured employment, including 485 in skill-based roles and 47 in non-skill-based jobs, he noted.

Mr. Patil urged job seekers, including Yuva Nidhi beneficiaries and unemployed youth, to participate in large numbers and make use of the opportunity.
