Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS)- Vizianagaram chairman Kandi Venkata Ramana on Thursday said the IRCS will establish blood storage centres in Cheepurupalli, Rajam, Gajapathinagaram and Bobbili soon so patients can have access to blood quickly. Addressing the media conference on Thursday, he said the full-fledged blood bank in Vizianagaram would take care of those centres and steps would be taken to convert them into full-fledged blood banks in the future with the support of the government. He added that the IRCS had chalked out an action plan to start skill development programmes for women and youth to help them become financially independent. Mr. Venkata shared that IRCS would provide blood free of cost to patients suffering from cancer and other dreaded diseases.
