International chess tournament inaugurated at Stella College

The Ecoren International Below 1800 FIDE Rating Chess Tournament was inaugurated at Maris Stella College in Vijayawada on Saturday (November 22).

Recipient of Dronacharya Award Koneru Ashok, vice-chairperson and managing director of Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) S. Bharani, Ecoren advisor Ch. Snigdha, Stella College correspondent Sr. Leena Quadras, principal G. Insyamma, coach V. Rajkumar and Andhra Chess Association chief advisor K.V. Sharma were among those present at the three-day event.

A total of 600 players drawn from across the country have registered for this tournament.
