Senior actor Mammootty has said that there are certain cultural sensibilities that lie dormant in everyone, and that the Indian Cultural Congress 2025 served as a platform to “remind ourselves of our culture.” He was inaugurating the valedictory session of the event organised by the Department of Culture here.

The three-day event saw a range of cultural debates, artistic performances, and interactions.

A release quoting him said that secularism or religious tolerance was related to culture. “Let religions take their own course. Let us trust humans. In my view, culture is acknowledging the presence of others,” he said.

Renowned writers, artists, filmmakers, cultural historians, scholars, and performers from across the country attended the event.
