Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday inaugurated a stopover point (Idathavalam) for pilgrims with modern facilities at the Sree Mahadeva temple in Kazhakuttam in the capital. The facility has been built at a cost of ₹10 crore. Spread over three floors and covering an area of 32,000 sq ft, the stopover point has an annadana mandapam where 300 people can be served food at a time. In addition, facilities such as a dormitory to house 75 men and 25 women, secure locker rooms and high-speed Wi-Fi system have been provided.
