IAS officers transfers Feb 2026 | New Commissioners appointed for Malkajgiri and Cyberabad municipal corporations

Continuing with its resolve to reorganise the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and create a new Core Urban Region (cure), the Telangana Government has appointed Commissioners to three newly formed Corporations — Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporations.

R.V. Karnan will continue to be the Commissioner of the reorganised GHMC. GHMC additional commissioner G. Srijana has been posted as Commissioner of Cyberabad. Additional Commissioner in the GHMC T. Vinay Krishna Reddy has been posted as Commissioner of Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation.

Senior bureaucrat Jayesh Ranjan was appointed as Special Officer to the three reorganised Municipal Corporations. The Government has notified the changes in a minor reshuffle of IAS officers on Wednesday (February 11, 2026) morning. Senior IAS officer and Scheduled Caste Development department Secretary, Jyoti Buddha Prakash, was transferred and posted Managing Director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited relieving D. Krishna Bhaskar from the additional charge of the post.

Special Chief Secretary, Sabyasachi Ghosh (implementation of flagship welfare schemes), was placed in full additional charge as Scheduled Caste Development department Secretary. Finance Secretary, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, has been placed in full additional charge as Planning Secretary relieving Mr. Jyoti Buddha Prakash.

SERP Chief Executive Officer, D. Divya, was placed in full additional charge as Panchayat Raj Commissioner in place of Shruti Ojha — who has been relieved from the full additional charge of the post. SERP additional CEO P. Katyayani Devi was transferred and posted as Prajavani State Nodal Officer relieving Mr. Divya from the full additional charge of the post. Ms. Katyayani Devi would continue to hold charge as State Finance Corporation Joint Managing Director.

Metro Water Board Executive Director, Mayank Mittal, was transferred and posted as Joint Managing Director in the Board and IAS officer IT Minister’s officer on special duty U. Raghuram Sharma has been posted as Industries department Special Secretary.
