Hyderabad-headquartered Raghu Vamsi Group, through its UK manufacturing arm PT Precision Machined Components (PT-PMC), has signed a three year MoU with the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC).

The agreement with AMRC, which is a leading institute in super alloys and single crystal castings, will strengthen its manufacturing footprint in the UK and India, as well as support its diversification into the aerospace and defence sector. It will help bring AMRC’s expertise and build the know-how for the Super Alloys facility the Group has proposed in Telangana, Raghu Vamsi said on Thursday (October 15, 2026).

As part of the collaboration, PT-PMC and AMRC will work together to strengthen manufacturing processes and introduce advanced, digitally enabled practices across PT-PMC’s UK operations. Their partnership will also look at specialised capabilities and technology-led improvements to meet the sector’s future requirements.

The MoU is an important step in Raghu Vamsi Group’s journey to build globally competitive manufacturing. “As we set up a super alloys facility and R&D centre in Telangana, this collaboration will help us build the technology foundation for the sector, with the vision of making the State a global leader in super alloys,” said Vamsi Vikas Ganesula, managing director of Raghu Vamsi Group.

A key focus will be strengthening the UK-India supply chain, a link that reflects the growing strength of trade between the two countries. AMRC will assess logistics, carbon impact and inventory linked to the movement of materials between the UK and India, and the partners will explore ways to improve efficiency and prepare PT-PMC for relevant aerospace and defence industry accreditations.
