Some parts of Hyderabad received rain on Thursday (September 11, 2025) afternoon. India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad issued a weather update around 3.00 p.m., predicting light to moderate rain or thundershowers as likely to occur over Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area for the next couple of hours. 

Hayatnagar  in Rangareddy recorded around 42 mm rain till 3.00 p.m. Moosapet, Chandanagar and Serilingampally circles received 10 – 16 cm rain, according to Telangana Development Planning Society’s data. 

Hyderabad and its surrounding areas are very likely to receive moderate to heavy rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds (30-40 kmph) over the next 24 hours, according to IMD’s bulletin issued on Thursday afternoon.
