Prasads theatre will screen a selection of films from the north east alongside Telugu films on November 21 and 22, as part of the Northeast Connect programme organised by the Telangana State Film Development Corporation (TGFDC). The event has been planned to showcase cinematic diversity and foster cultural exchange between the Northeastern States and Telangana.

According to the Information and Public Relations Department, a total of 12 films will be screened during the two-day event. Eight films from the Northeast and four Telugu films have been shortlisted. Directors of the films, along with invited guests and cultural representatives, are expected to take part in the programme.

The North Eastern films lined up include Yarwng (Tripuri), Tara – The Lost Star (Nepali), Kooki (Hindi), Onaatah: Of the Earth (Khasi), Anur (Assamese), Boomba Ride (Assamese), Eikhogi Yum (Manipuri) and Rador, Pakhi (Assamese). The Telugu films to be screened are Balagam, Naa Bangaru Thalli, Pottel and Mallesham.

Information and Public Relations Special Commissioner Ch. Priyanka inspected the venue on Tuesday. She directed theatre management and officials to ensure coordination between departments and complete all necessary arrangements ahead of the event.
