Hyderabad Metro Man N.V.S. Reddy back at the helm of key urban transport projects‌

Former managing director of Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) and current adviser to the government on Urban Transport and Metro Rail, N.V.S. Reddy has been entrusted with additional responsibilities, including coordinating the proposed common ticketing system with Telangana State Road Transport Corporation and other modes of public transport. He will also work on introducing daily, weekly and monthly metro passes, either independently or in coordination with the RTC.

According to a government order issued by Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Saturday, Mr. Reddy will oversee operations and maintenance of the existing Phase I Hyderabad Metro Rail network along with additional managing director Ajit Reddy.

The order further stated that Mr. Reddy will provide inputs for planning traffic and transportation-related projects undertaken by municipal corporations in the Hyderabad Metropolitan area. He will also guide civic agencies on measures to improve urban mobility and assist in the operation and expansion of the metro rail network, among other responsibilities.
