State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, along with family, offered prayers at the ‘Padamara Veedhi Ganganamma Jatara’ in Eluru, on Monday.

The Home Minister was given a ceremonial welcome at the temple by Jatara Committee chairpersons Chode Balasubrahmanyam and Chode Venkaratnam. As part of the festivities, Ms. Anitha visited the decorated ‘mandapams’ and offered prayers to Sri Ganganamma, Sri Mahalakshmamma, Sri Vinukonda Ankamma and Sri Pothuraju Babu, and presented sare (offerings) to the deities.

Eluru MLA Badeti Chanti and Mayor Sheikh Noorjahan accompanied the Minister and presented a sari to the presiding deity and participated in special pujas.

Several public representatives and officials were present during the visit, including Eluru Municipal Corporation co-option member S.M.R. Pedababu, RTC Regional Chairman Reddi Appalanaidu, Eluru Agricultural Market Committee Chairman Mamillapalli Parthasaradhi, temple priest Niranjan, and other local leaders.
