Technopark on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HiLITE Group for setting up their first IT Park project in Thiruvananthapuram at the Phase-3 campus of the Technopark here.

The ‘Yoo Hub Trivandrum’ project envisages a 5.15 lakh square feet IT Park spread over 18 floors on 1.88 acres of land.

Sandip Kumar, CEO of Technopark, and Ajil Muhammed, CEO of HiLITE Group, exchanged the MoU in the presence of Seeram Samabasiva Rao, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT and Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister.

Industries Minister P. Rajeeve said that the project is expected to generate approximately 4,000 direct IT jobs, contributing significantly to Kerala’s growing technology ecosystem and supporting long-term industry advancement. He said that the initiation of the project signals that the State government’s efforts to ensure job opportunities to youngsters in Kerala itself are in the right direction.

The construction of the facility, which will have basement-plus ground floor and 16 floors, will begin soon. The project is expected to be completed in three years.

The proposed IT Park is being developed in association with YOO, a design brand known for its global portfolio of luxury real estate and design-led developments. This marks YOO’s first branded IT Park collaboration globally.
