Harvard executive education programme to be offered in Hyderabad from December: Revanth

Harvard University will offer executive education programmes in Hyderabad from December, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Thursday.

He was speaking at a meeting with a 30-member delegation representing UK business schools and universities at the MCR HRD Institute here. The delegation included UK House of Lords member Karan Bilimoria, British Council Director Janaka Pushpanathan, Chartered Association of Business Schools CEO Flora Hamilton and representatives of the British Deputy High Commission.

The Chief Minister said the government was prepared to extend all necessary support to international universities and business schools seeking to establish a presence in Telangana. He said the process for setting up offshore campuses by institutions such as MIT and Purdue had already begun.

Partnerships with Harvard, MIT, University of London, Virginia Tech and Northeastern University could be developed in areas such as executive programmes, dual-degree courses, faculty training and research, he said.

Mr. Revanth said the presence of leading UK business schools in Telangana would also help attract major global corporate organisations to the State.

The Chief Minister said the government was developing an education hub in Bharat Future City, where the Young India Skills University was being established to provide young people with advanced skills aligned with changing market requirements.

Inviting the UK delegation to the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, scheduled to be held in December, Mr. Revanth said prominent members of the UK education sector would be specially invited to the event.

He said the summit was being planned on the lines of the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos and would provide a platform to showcase Telangana to global investors.
