The Delhi Panchayat Sangh has demanded that the Ministry of Education, Government of India, address the issue of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) inviting applications for 280 posts in various categories, where the option for Gurugram University (established in 2019) is not available on the CBSE’s online application website. Due to this, eligible candidates who have graduated from Gurugram University are unable to complete the application process. The Sangh has demanded immediate corrective action.

All the colleges under Gurugram University were under Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, before 2019. The Haryana government had established Gurugram University in 2019 and brought all the colleges in the area under its purview.

Panchayat Sangh chief Than Singh Yadav said a large number of students from rural Delhi study at Gurugram University. Therefore, the absence of the university’s option is causing career-related problems for these students, he said.

“This situation is not only an injustice to eligible candidates but also a violation of the right to equal opportunity guaranteed by the Constitution. Excluding a recognised government university from the application list reflects a serious negligence,” Mr. Yadav said.

The Sangh demanded that the option of Gurugram University should be immediately added to the CBSE recruitment application website, additional time (Application Window Reopen) should be given to those candidates who could not apply due to this technical issue and an updated list of all recognised universities in the country should be ensured in all future recruitments. Accountability should be fixed for the officials responsible for this oversight, said the Sangh.

Panchayat Sangh chief Than Singh Yadav has urged the CBSE administration and the Ministry of Education to immediately resolve this serious problem so that eligible people who have studied at Gurugram University are not deprived of their future.
