With only two days left for the FIFA World Cup to get under way, the General Education department has decided to organise a football-related campaign for students. The campaign ‘1 million Toofan Goals@World Cup 2026’ will be held in schools having classes I to XII from June 11 to July 20.

The campaign will be inaugurated by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Minister for General Education N. Samsudheen at Global Sports City turf, Ambalamukku, here at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday. A dashboard prepared by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) for the campaign will also be inaugurated at the occasion.

The campaign, which involves scoring 10 lakh goals in schools, will be a blend of education, sports, technology, environment, and will promote the Home department’s Operation Toofan to combat the drug menace, a press statement here on Tuesday said.
