TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud and Lok Sabha member Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy appreciated Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS) chief K. Kavitha for acknowledging that the BRS government had ruled to loot during its decade-long tenure. In response to the formation of the TRS, Mr Goud said anyone was free to float a party, but wondered whether her chief ministerial ambitions were aimed at “serving the people or exploiting Telangana again.”
“She remained silent for ten years and only chose to step out now due to “differences in sharing of power and benefits,” a perception Mr. Reddy said was widely held among the people of Telangana. Mr Reddy criticised her for targeting the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with karkotaka remark (cruel or harmful), and comparing him to Hitler. “Will such comments fetch her any marks?” he asked.
