Minister for Transport and Muzrai Ramalinga Reddy announced on Tuesday that the Muzrai Department has granted administrative approval for development projects worth ₹29 crore under the Shri Ghati Subramanya Kshetra Development Authority in Doddaballapur.

The comprehensive development plan includes several major works aimed at improving facilities for devotees and enhancing the infrastructure around the popular temple.

The largest among them will be the construction of a new Dasoha Bhavana at an estimated cost of ₹16 crore. Other approved works include concrete road development at a cost of ₹1.96 crore, development of Ratha Beedi at ₹3.53 crore, and the upgradation of the existing Yatri Nivas at ₹1.62 crore.

“The department has also approved the construction of a one-lakh litre capacity water tank at a cost of ₹28 lakh and new toilet facilities costing ₹43 lakh,” Mr. Reddy said.

Brahmarathotsava

Mr. Reddy also announced that the Shri Ghati Subramanyeshwara Swamy Brahmarathotsava for 2025–26 will be held on December 25, with better amenities.

The Minister said that from December 1, all vehicles arriving at the kshetra will be given free entry following the cancellation of toll collection. Special darshan facilities will be extended to senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and mothers with infants below one year.

The annual cattle fair for 2025–26 will be held from December 10 to 18.

“During the fair, the temple administration will provide drinking water, special lighting, veterinary services to prevent disease outbreaks, and food and refreshments for farmers attending the event,” Mr. Reddy added.
