GCC carries out cattle raid in Arumbakkam

A cattle raid was conducted in Arumbakkam after locals complained of stray cow menace, dung accumulation, waste dumping and mosquito menace near Chennai Middle School in in Jai Nagar there. Residents had flagged unhygienic conditions, foul smell and poor drainage in the locality. The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) on Thursday conducted a cattle raid and necessary instructions were issued to cattle owners, according to officials.
