Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy took part in the consecration ceremony of the Gandi Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple in Chakrayapeta mandal of Kadapa district on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).

The temple underwent extensive repair and renovation work and remained closed to devotees during this period. With the formal consecration ceremony, ‘Jeernoddharana Maha Kumbhabhishekam’, the shrine is now open to the public.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister called it a great opportunity to participate in the consecration of the ancient temple on Hanuman Jayanti.

Mr. Reddy recalled that the NDA alliance government had taken up renovation and modernisation of Endowments-governed temples across the State in a phased manner.

“The plan of action is to transform the temples into vibrant places of worship and provide hassle-free darshan to the visiting devotees,” he added.

Legislators R. Madhavi Reddy (Kadapa); Ch. Adinarayana Reddy (Jammalamadugu); Putha Chaitanya Krishna Reddy (Kamalapuram); former MLC Mareddy Ravindranath Reddy; TDP zonal coordinator R. Srinivasa Reddy; and district president C. Bhupesh Reddy participated along with the minister.
