The Department of Yoga and Consciousness at the Andhra University will organise a free yoga awareness camp for senior citizens and university staff from June 10 to 14 as part of the International Day of Yoga celebrations.

According to the department, the daily sessions will be held from 7 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. Participants will be trained in yoga asanas, pranayama, relaxation techniques and meditation. The programme is tailored to suit different age groups and individual health conditions.

K. Ramesh Babu, Head of the Department, said senior citizens and Andhra University staff members can enrol by contacting 8341111931 or 9100855823. Participants have been advised to bring a yoga mat or blanket for practice.

The camp is being organised in the run-up to the International Day of Yoga, observed annually on June 21.
