A four-year-old girl was killed and her parents were seriously injured after a speeding mini lorry hit them near Pavannur bridge in Kannur on Thursday (May 28, 2026).
The deceased was identified as Thashreefa, 4, daughter of Sajid, 46, and Maimoonath, 39, of Edathilekkandi House, Pavannur Kadavu. The couple sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Kannur.
The accident occurred around 8.20 p.m. while the family was reportedly returning home after visiting relatives as part of Eid celebrations.
