The devastating bus accident in Kurnool district has left Gollavaripalli village in Vinjamuru mandal of Nellore district in grief after four members of a single family were killed in the inferno. The victims were identified as 35-year-old Golla Ramesh, his 30-year-old wife Anusha, and their 12-year-old son Manish and 10-year-old daughter Manvitha.

According to relatives, Mr. Ramesh, who had been working in a private company in Bengaluru for nearly 15 years, had travelled to Hyderabad with his family as part of a company trip. The family was returning to Bengaluru when the ill-fated bus caught fire following a collision near Chinna Tekuru in Kurnool district during the early hours of Friday. All four were charred to death on the spot.

Udayagiri MLA Kakarla Suresh expressed sorrow over the tragedy. “It’s a depressing day for my constituency. An entire family perishing in the tragedy is very painful and inconsolable,” he said, assuring Ramesh’s parents that the government would soon complete the DNA testing and hand over the bodies.
