YSRCP leader and former Minister Ambati Rambabu was remanded to 14 days judicial custody in another case relating to 2023, where he allegedly conducted a lottery in Sattenapalli.

Sattenapalli Circle Inspector Narahari Nagamalleswara Rao said the court, on Thursday, had remanded Mr. Ambati Rambabu based on prima facie evidence, including digital evidence, submitted to the court on the alleged lottery.

He said that a private case had been filed against the accused in 2023 by Jana Sena Party’s Guntur district president Gade Venkateswara Rao, and certain evidences were secured against the alleged illegal lottery. He said there were allegations that Mr. Ambati Rambabu collected money for lottery tickets from the old-age and other pensioners from the pension amount that was distributed to the beneficiaries at that time.

Now, the police were seeking his custody for further investigation into the case, he added.

Mr. Venkateswara Rao said he submitted all the evidences to the court and hoped that justice would be delivered.
