Maris Stella College organised a floral show titled ‘Flori Expo’ to celebrate National Farmers’ Day, here on Wednesday. The event showcased students’ recycling models, live working models, and innovative agricultural projects. The objective of the event was to promote awareness among students on the latest innovations in the agricultural sector.

College principal Inyasamma said such events encourage a proactive mindset and strengthen students’ understanding of agriculture, while the Head of the Department of Agriculture, Lakshmana Swamy, explained the objectives and modern-day relevance of the expo.

The event witnessed participation of students from various schools and colleges, with special activities including painting, quiz competitions, and bouquet-making workshops. Major attractions of the expo were the organic farming stalls, organic product sales, and food stalls.

College correspondent Leena Quadras, along with faculty members Gouthami, Tejasree, Raviteja, Lavanya, Bhavya and others played active role in coordinating the event.
