Five schools, 69 students from T.N. get road safety awards

Five institutions in Tamil Nadu received awards and 69 students were recognised as Olympiad winners at the National Road Safety Education Excellence Awards 2025-26. A total of 134 schools from the State, including Chennai, participated. Several schools from the State were named top performers, while select institutions received special recognition, a release said. The National Road Safety Mission, launched in 2024, has reached over 5,000 schools across 35 States and Union Territories, engaging more than 2.2 million students, it said. The programme includes school zone safety audits and a safety rating framework.
