A major fire broke out at Mangala Gowri showroom, a saree store, on Road no. 36 in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on Thursday (February 26, 2026) morning, sending plumes of thick smoke into the sky and triggering panic among local residents and shopkeepers.
According to officials at the Fire Department’s Control Room, a distress call was received at 11.29 a.m., following which four fire engines were dispatched to the spot. Firefighters began operations immediately to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjoining buildings.
