A farmer suffered serious injuries in a sloth bear attack at A. Ramanahalli in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru district on January 29.
Ramakrishna, 67, was working in an agricultural field when the wild animal attacked him. He suffered injuries to his legs and shoulder. Somehow, he defended himself and succeeded in escaping from the animal’s grip and ran towards the village.
The villagers took him to a hospital in Tarikere, where the doctors administered first aid before referring him to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga.
