Ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Excise department has set up a 24-hour control room and deployed a striking force to curb the distribution and sale of illicit liquor and narcotics, strengthen night patrol, and ensure prompt action on complaints.

The public may register complaints directly with control rooms, excise offices, or through the mobile phone numbers of office heads.

The identity of complainants will be kept confidential, and those who provide information on spurious liquor, foreign liquor, or illicit brewing would be rewarded, the Deputy Excise Commissioner said in a press release.

The public can inform any illegal activities via the toll-free number (155358) or Divisional Excise Control Room: (0495 2372927), Deputy Excise Commissioner, Kozhikode ( 0495 2372927, 9447178063), and Assistant Excise Commissioner, Kozhikode (0495 2375706, 9496002871).
