Former scientist from the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Energy (IGCAR), Kalpakkam Saibaba, on Saturday spoke about the evolution of information centres in the modern era, the influence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and the critical role of research in nation-building.

Speaking on “Information Resource Centres in the Digital Era: Role of Information Managers,” at World Book and Copyright Day celebrations organised at VIT-A.P. University library on April 23 and 24, Mr. Saibaba encouraged young minds to make effective use of the opportunities provided by educational institutions and government initiatives for the betterment of society.
