Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi has alleged that engrossed in power politics, the Congress leaders had forgotten their public responsibilities and duties to be discharged towards the State.

Speaking to presspersons in Dharwad on Friday, Mr. Joshi alleged that Congress leaders aspiring to become Chief Minister were making reckless statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS and it was unfortunate.

“Within the Congress, it appears as if whoever makes highest criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP and RSS the most, stands a better chance of becoming Chief Minister,” Mr. Joshi mocked.

Taking exception to what he termed as degrading language in political criticism, Mr. Joshi said that the people of both Karnataka and Telangana were closely observing the developments and they would soon teach them a lesson.

He also lambasted Congress leader B.K. Hariprasad for his remarks on Hindu festivals and dared him to make such comments on festivals celebrated by people of other faiths.
