A 26-year-old employee allegedly ended his life after falling from the terrace at the company’s facility in Electronics City Phase 2 on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Anantha Kumar, a resident of Banashankari. He was working in the Finance Department of Biocon. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the limits of the Parappana Agrahara police station.

According to the police, Anantha Kumar went to the canteen and proceeded to the terrace while speaking on his mobile phone, following which he reportedly jumped from the building.

He sustained severe injuries and was immediately shifted to a hospital, where he was declared dead. The parents of the deceased have been informed.

The police said that the reason for the suicide is not yet known, and no death note was found at the spot. A case has been registered, and further investigation are on.
