The Eluru Three Town police arrested Muvvala Venkateswara Rao on Wednesday night (November 27, 2025), who was accused in POCSO Act cases, and was absconding for the last three years.
The accused, Venkateswara Rao, native of Polavaram village in Krishna district, was wanted in two cases registered in Eluru Three Town police in 2022. The team, led by Eluru Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) D. Sravan Kumar, traced the accused at Solapur in Maharashtra.
“The accused was eking out livelihood by fishing in a village. “A non-bailable warrant (NBW) was pending against Venkateswara Rao,” said Eluru district Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore. “Police will produce the accused in the court on Thursday (November 27, 2025),” the SP said.
